Dr Binay Kumar is a Consultant inInterventional Cardiology, Electrophysiology. He did his MBBS from N R S Medical College Kolkata, MD from Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi and DM (Cardiology) from AIIMS, New Delhi. He further pursued fellowship in Electrophysiology from Holy Family Hospital, Mumbai. He is one of the few cardiologists in this region to have expertise in interventional cardiology, pediatric cardiology, electrophysiology, structural heart disease, peripheral vascular intervention and non invasive cardiology.

He has vast experience in complex as well as cutting- edge procedures such as complex angioplastiesinclusing CTO, rotablations, latest intravascular imaging procedures like OCT, IVUS and FFR. He has rich experience in peripheral vascular interventions. He has a high success rate in BMV(balloon mitral valvotomy), AVBD(aortic valve balloon dilation), PVBD(pulmonary valve balloon dilation), ParavalvularLeak Device Closure(mitral and aortic), PDA (patent ductusarteriosus),ASD (atrial septal defect) and VSD(ventricular septal defect) device closure. He is an expert in managing arrhythmias both in 2D and 3D systems. He has extensive experience in managing heart rhythm defectssuch as AVNRT, AVRT, atrial tachycardia, ventricular tachycardia and atrial fibrillation ablation with high success rates. He is adept in single and dual chamber pacemaker, ICD, CRTD (cardiac resynchronization therapy and defibrillator)and Micra (smallest pacemaker) implantations. He has also participated in TAVR procedures.He has been lucky enough to receive tutelage and guidance from the some of the most respected cardiologist of national and international fame. DrBinay is very active in academics and research work. He has been involved in training of MBBS, MD and DNB students for many years. He has published multiple articles and research work in renowned journals, presented posters, delivered talks at various national and international conferences.
